For fun this past month I joined a photo challenge created here by fatmumslim. For each day in January there was a specified topic for a photo, which you could interpret as literally or imaginatively as you like. The idea was to take a more or less spontaneous snap of whatever represents the topic for the day, play with edits or filters if you feel like it, and share it on some site.

Tiny but wonderful French café round the corner from my workplace in north London, where I sometimes pop in for lunch or a coffee, happens to be called Le Péché Mignon (transl: guilty pleasure), and so it is indeed.

Hi Carol, it's the 230. And yes ... while some pics are au naturel, with many of them I played with editing and effects, as this was part of the fun of the challenge. So a lot of this is down to Picnik rather than the Canon!
DeleteI like your commitment to this challenge Karen. 31+ photographs in one post - impressive! That would be just too much of a challenge for me as my machine can take an aching amount of time to load just one photograph.

Thanks, Frances. It was a fun project to do, though some days a bit stressful to find something on the topic. It's apparently ongoing through the year, so I might do it again in a quieter month. I still love my SLR camera, but this is so much easier to carry around, so I will definitely use it more.
